Weaver, James Baird
(1833-1912) Уивер, Джеймс Бэрд
Политический и военный деятель, представитель консервативных сил фермерского популистского движения в конце XIX в., гринбекер [Greenback Party], один из лидеров Фермерского союза [Farmers Union] и Популистской партии [Populist Party]. В 1879-81 и в 1885-89 член Палаты представителей [House of Representatives]. Как лидер Популистской партии получил более 1 млн. голосов избирателей и 22 голоса выборщиков на президентских выборах 1892. Враждебно относился к развивающемуся в стране совместному рабоче-фермерскому движению и радикальным элементам в популистском движении
